Southwest Peninsula

We have one of the highest pass rates at MRCGP. Why? Is it just because of the high quality of our trainees? NO! Is it just because of our excellent Trainers? NO! Our superb learning environments? NO! Well, why?

It's because of ALL these things! Become a part of the PENINSULA Team and discover your potential.

The West Country is a beautiful area of the UK with easy travel links including Exeter International airport and local airports at Newquay and Plymouth, offering many national routes. We are also fortunate in having excellent access to western Europe through ferry links from Plymouth. Although largely rural the cities of Truro, Plymouth and Exeter offer all the benefits that can be found in other UK cities.

We are proud of our strong tradition for excellent GP training. As well as high quality training to prepare you for a career in general practice, we will provide you with every opportunity to truly fulfil your potential, through our innovative and exciting professional development initiatives.

The huge variety of general practice settings in the peninsula, from the inner city to the remote and rural, adds a unique dimension to the training opportunities we can offer you, and means you will find the sort of general practice that best suits you.
