The South West Peninsula Postgraduate Deanery is a new organisation
taking effect from 1st April 05 and covers the counties of Devon and
Cornwall from our base in Plymouth. The GP Directorate is responsible for
training and developing the GP workforce fit for purpose for the
challenging and complex world of modern Primary Care.
 We
have 5 Vocational Training Schemes, all in delightful parts of the world
with beautiful countryside and miles and miles of coastline. They are
based in Exeter, Barnstaple, Torbay, Plymouth and Truro. The vast majority
of our GP Registrars decide to stay and work in the area once they
qualify.
We are committed to offering a friendly and accessible service,
delivering high quality, innovative education and training producing high
quality GPs. It is our aim to develop a culture of lifelong learning,
support and fun.
