Eligibility...

ST1 - For entry to 1st year of 3 year specialty GP training programme you will need...

  1. To hold a recognised primary medical qualification
     
  2. To be fully registered with the UK GMC at the time of application OR passed both parts of PLAB and be eligible for full UK GMC registration at time of application
     
  3. Evidence of achievement of Foundation Competences.  You will need to provide this evidence when attending Selection Centre. Click here for further guidance and to download the relevant documents to demonstrate evidence of foundation competence.
     
  4. To hold a current valid driving licence OR able to provide satisfactory alternative as a means of providing emergency and domiciliary care to fulfill the requirements of the post

ST2 – For entry to 2nd year of specialty GP training programme you will need...

  1. AS FOR ST1 ABOVE PLUS...
     
  2. Satisfactory completion of 12 months in UK SHO posts educationally approved post for GP training provided all 12 months meet the requirements of PMETB OR Approved and accredited equivalent previous experience

 

ST3 – For entry to 3rd year of specialty GP training programme you will need...

  1. AS FOR ST1 ABOVE PLUS...
     
  2. Satisfactory completion of 24 months in UK SHO posts educationally approved for GP training which meet the requirements of PMETB OR Approved and accredited equivalent previous experience
