From August 2013 a new two year structured core training programme providing six month placements in General Practice, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Core Medical Training followed by CT/ST2 level training in one of the four specialties will be introduced. This new programme will bring a wider perspective to healthcare provision both now and throughout your career whilst providing you with time to develop conviction in your choice of career pathway.
Applications can be made and assessed using the GP recruitment process, followed by an additional BBT specific interview - but you do not have to apply for a GP training programme to apply for a BBT programme. Information about the GP recruitment process is available here.
GP Induction and Refresher Schemes (I+R) provide an opportunity for qualified GPs to be inducted into or return to general practice in the UK. To apply for a scheme in England or Wales complete the I+R application form and submit it to the GP National Recruitment Office with the required supporting information
