Do all deaneries offer the same training programmes?
All deaneries currently offer entry to speciality GP training
programmes at ST1 level. Some are also able to offer programmes at ST2 or
ST3 entry level although opportunities are limited. The make-up of
individual training programmes, including the specialities available and
the length of time spent in general practice can vary from deanery to
deanery. Availability within deaneries and within scheme areas will vary
also and for entry to ST2 some deaneries may offer only a limited range of
specialities.
You are advised to check individual deanery web sites before you submit
an application.
