Do I need to be able to drive a car?

During the General Practice component of your training it is necessary that you hold a valid driving licence or be able to make arrangements to undertake home visits and emergency out of hours care with minimal additional assistance from the employing training practice. If you do not drive, you may be asked to provide a statement about these arrangements. Some practices, however, particularly those in rural areas will insist that you are able to drive.
