The most recent Deanery Report on Leighton Hospital, Crewe, describes the GP Trainees as "the happiest group of Trainees" reflecting the ability of a busy DGH to provide all the clinical experience and hospital-based training required.

The Crewe GP Training Programme includes high-quality training Practices in pleasant rural towns, and the Course organizers provide an excellent educational programme to support Trainees when they are placed in local practices.

The Mersey Deanery stretches from Southport, through Liverpool and St. Helens, across to the Wirral and to Warrington and Runcorn in North Cheshire, down to Chester, Crewe and Macclesfield in South Cheshire.

Following Liverpool’s success as the 2008 European Capital of culture, Liverpool is home to a variety of wonderful cultural attractions. Liverpool's skyline is dominated by fabulous architecture and has many stylish bars, clubs and restaurants, along with 8 National museums and galleries. The sporting relationship with Liverpool is immense, with Premiership football clubs, Aintree and Haydock Park racecourses, and many Championship golf courses. Cheshire is the embodiment of breathtaking landscapes and stunning country estates.
